We met in Toronto in 2016, all thanks to the magic of Airbnb. Who knew you could meet the love of your life through a short-term rental app?

Dani had come to Toronto to do an observership at SickKids Hospital, and she happened to book a stay at Oli’s beautiful condo—he was an Airbnb Superhost, after all. For five weeks, she explored the city, discovered the best Bloody Caesar in town, and experienced her first Blue Jays and Raptors games—all while unknowingly falling for her host.

We quickly became good friends and kept in touch after Dani returned to Chile, talking almost every day. In February 2017, we reunited with friends in Cancun. We had an amazing time and started dreaming about future adventures together. Little did we know that nine years later, we'd be saying "I do" in that very same place.

Oli visited Dani in Chile soon after—first in March 2017, and again in May. By then, Dani had been accepted into a fellowship at SickKids, and we officially started a long-distance relationship filled with travel and lots of excitement.

In June 2018, Dani made the big move to Toronto for her fellowship, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We got engaged in July 2019 in romantic Paris, and originally planned to get married in August 2020. But like many, our plans were put on hold by the pandemic. Now, after years of waiting, we’re beyond excited to finally celebrate our love in February 2026.

Over the past eight years, we’ve been lucky to be surrounded by incredible friends and family who have supported and shaped our journey.

In March 2021, we welcomed our son, Anthony, and in May 2023, our daughter, Emilia—our pride and joy, our little terremotos. We can’t imagine life without them.

We can’t wait to make it official and celebrate with all of you on the beautiful beaches of Cancun, Mexico!
